Self Care while doing GOD's Work
Can you believe we're already into a new year? This month we're going to share a little on Self Care. In the short time that I've been around I've come to realize that no one can take care of me, but me! I know we feel like we have to have our hands in everything, take care of everybody, everybody's problems and the list goes on. Reality of it all we find ourselves worn out, broke down, sick, overwhelmed and can't find nobody when we have our own problems.
Let me share this with you: It's okay to say NO, let others handle their own issues and in turn you take time for you. If you don't take care of you, after awhile you won't be fit to take care of others.
Mark 6;31 Jesus told his apostles to come ye yourselves apart into a desert place and Rest awhile.
Self Care, (rest) is essential for a healthy life.
Matthew 22;37-39 the bible say love the Lord God with all your heart, soul and mind. Love your neighbor as your self. So the same love and care we show to others we have to give to ourselves. Sometimes we have to take time away from ministering to others and minister to ourselves, trust me GOD got them and they can wait until you return. (Mark6;30-32) said that Jesus got away to pray and rest. So I just want to encourage you in this year to take time for you. Take time to be refreshed. Allow time to minister or pour back into you. We can still be and do the work of the father and not let it become so overwhelming that we forget about ourselves. Don't just be a Martha also learn how to be a Mary. Praying and sending love your way!
